FAQ
General Questions
Nope! As long as your yard is accessible (unlocked gate, no aggressive dogs), we’ll clean up and leave it spotless—no need to wait around!
That depends on how many dogs you have and how often they go!
1-2 Dogs: Weekly cleanup recommended.
3+ Dogs: Twice-weekly for a consistently fresh yard.
High-traffic areas (commercial spaces, dog parks): Daily or bi-weekly cleaning is best.
Yes! Contrary to popular belief, dog waste is NOT fertilizer. It contains harmful bacteria and acidic waste that can kill your grass, spread diseases, and attract pests. Regular cleanup prevents lawn damage and keeps your yard healthy.
We don’t just dump it in the bin! We use a sustainable disposal system, including biodegradable bags and responsible waste processing to minimize environmental impact.
We don’t mind, but we prefer if your dog is inside during our visit. This allows us to thoroughly clean without missing any spots. If your dog is protective or aggressive, please secure them before our visit.
General Conditions
Dog Doo Duty will work through the rain and cold as long as we feel safe to do so. The Client fully understands and accepts we cannot work through severe weather conditions such as thunderstorms, heavy rains, high winds, extreme temperatures, flooding, fires, etc.
We do not offer refunds for missed scoops due to weather conditions. In case of missed scoops caused by the weather, we will miss that week(s) and see you the following week when it is safe.
We will always do our best to clean up the yard/area the best that we can. We also understand that yard maintenance is a lot of work and that your yard may not always be in the best condition. The Client hereby understands and agrees that Dog Doo Duty does not provide yard maintenance services, and that it can be very difficult to locate all dog waste in tall grass, especially grass covered in leaves and other debris.
If the grass in your yard is tall when we come, there might be some dog waste that we miss. We will come back on the next scheduled visit and clean everything we missed, after the maintenance of your yard has been completed.
